Aerial view of Rye Patch Reservoir near Imlay, Nevada.  The upper portion of the lake is dry revealing past oxbow bends of the Humboldt River.  Livestock trails are also seen through the lakebed.  Along the hillsides of the Eugene Mountains to the north one can see lakeshore bathtub rings of the Pleistocene era Lake Lahontan which covered the entire basin area all the way into Oregon.
