Karboğazı, located about 13 km to Gülek Neighborhood of Tarsus District (5 km asphalt and 8 km stabilized road), is a region that is suitable for all sorts of winter sports. With its peak at an elevation of 3,580 meters and the natural ski slope of 10 km at 2000-3000 meters, Karboğazı meets all the criteria set forth by International Skiing Federation (FIS) for the discipline of Alpine skiing. The skiing slope here can be the center of attraction for mountaineers, skiers and tourism investors thanks to its quality snow capacity of about 7-8 months, from October till June. The area of the 1st stage is 3,573 ha, the area of the 2nd stage is 7,950 ha, and the combined area of the slope is equal to 11,523 ha. The implementation endeavors are still continued in the site.
