Stersolephilopod is method of shooting equirectangular panorama from "invisible tripod". In fact "invisible tripod" is not invisible, but it is not visible on final panorama. Also the shadows rare removed automatically in the stitching process. In this moment just simple one way shadow. So you have perfect stitch with 4 shots, and no tripod or tripod shadows in final equirectangular!
