Telephone Canyon Waterfall, Zion National Park, Utah, USA

Mid-winter rain and snow on the high plateau keep a steady waterfall flowing from the exit of Telephone Canyon above the larger canyon carved by the Virgin River through Zion National Park.  A short wet snowfall has cloaked everything in white, highlighting the edges of trees, rocks, and the ledges of the canyon walls.

We hiked in snow at the higher elevations of the canyon last year, but this was the first time I had seen so much snow along the river's edge.  You can see some of the last snowflakes that were falling while I captured the picture.
