This is a good starting point for day trips to the peaks around the Leirbreen and Smørstabbreen glaciers. The marked track from Krossbu to Leirvassbu is seen in the southern direction. Store Smørstabbtind (2208 m/7244 ft) is seen in the eastern direction.
