赤牛嶺是個觀光勝地，位於恒春東南2公里的山腰，清光緒恆春設縣時就被列為恆春八景，其吸引人之處不在於其具有的地形景觀，而是其為一個非常好的景觀眺望點，在此您可以看恆春夜景、盆地阡陌水田、龍鑾潭如鏡的碧綠、西屏山如茵的原野，並可眺望車城、小琉球及高雄打狗山(壽山)，赤牛嶺有座廟稱之鎮南宮，供奉關聖帝君。
