Director of Mines "Soko" Ilija Knezevic, speaking of the most successful underground coal mine in Serbia, said that employs 600 miners from Soko banja, Knjazevac Aleksinac. Sokobanja coal basin (with underground mining) is unrivaled in Serbia. Here we have ten years to invest in opening new large tanks worth about 30 million euros. When complete, the next three to five years, the current production of 150,000 tons will be doubled in next 50 years. But work in this basin will be in the next century because the established reserves of 50 million tons of coal, and investigated only ten of the basin. In front of the "Hawk" for years the longest lines of those who seek work here because the mine operates more effectively and safer than others in Serbia.
