The Tadhkeshwar Temple, is a Shiv temple, the name Tad+Kesh+war = Tad=Tree, Kesh =Hair, ishWar= Lord. or the Wine haired Lord, or the Lord with matted hair, ie. DreadLocks!

in the pano you see the idol of Ganesh, the elephant headed god, who is the son of Shiv, Ganesh is actually Skand who was a regular looking God-human-looking, but Shiv in a fit of rage beheaded Skanda, and when he realised what he had done, and how displeased his wife will be, he sent forth the army(of Wild Bears or Sadhus) to get the head of someone, and his obedient followers  came across an elephantand got  the head to their master, and Shiv did the remain part of "Fitting" the head of an elephant to his son Skanda's torso, thinking his wife wont be able to make out the difference!!! Yes Shiv is the Patron of Intoxicants and his name is taken by  all the Chillkum smokers of India.

On the opposite side is the idol of Shakti, "the Power", symbolic of the feminine power of destruction, The Shakti is a cannibal goddess, who Devours" evil, and has a garland of skulls around her k\neck, the "Red  Tounge" symbolic for the power of Shakti to drink even the last drop of evil blood and stop it from  touching the earth and hence stopping the vicious cycle of evil, regeneration.
