Every day most of the camels are herded out into the desert and brought back around 4pm. crowds of tourist gather to watch the camels return which can be quite interesting. There is an elite herd of about 270 dromedary camels of Bikaneri, Jaisalmeri and Kachchhi breed that has been developed by selective breeding. The center is open from 2.30 P.M. to 6.00 P.M. for the visitors.
