An old conveyor belt sits at the mouth of a caved mine entrance at the Indian Girl Mine near Hornbrook, California.  A former gold mine, there are many surface diggings & rock walls above as well as many small openings to mines & prospects, the biggest opening leading to just over 100 feet inside.  An old trail leads up from Highway 96 & ends here.  Within the mines, gold-bearing quartz veins are hosted in native greenstone.
