Corsewall Point, Rhins of Galloway
Scotland

Corsewall Lighthouse is situated on the northern tip of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula. Overlooking the North Channel of the Irish Sea, it guards the approaches to Loch Ryan and the Firth of Clyde.

One of the many Scottish lighthouses built by successive generations of the Stevenson family over more than 150 years, it first became operational in 1817 and is still operated by the Northern Lighthouse Board. It was automated in 1994, since when much of the accommodation and outer buildings have been converted into a hotel.
