El Darien, in the Calima municipality, is one of the most touristic places in Valle del Cauca. Better known as "El Lago Calima". It is about 3 hours from the city of Cali. The Lake is artificial, it is one of the largest reservoirs on the continent for hydroelectric purposes. This lake is a favorite of many practitioners of water sports such as kitesurfing (Kiteboard), Windsurfing, Optimist, Skiing; thanks to the fast winds that are ideal and attractive for these types of sports. It is also a great destination for Jetsky or jet ski rides, boat tours, katamaran, ecological hiking, even short helicopter tours, among many other attractions.
