Platt Hall, Manchester
England

Platt Hall was built at a a cost of £10,000 in 1746 in a Georgian design. It took the place of a timbered black and white building which stood at right angles to the present hall facing Wilmslow Road. Captain Worsely, who resided in Platt Hall, led the military at the Peterloo Massacre. It is a listed building and home to the Manchester's Costume Gallery.
