The San Marco Pass is part of an ancient route built by end of 16th century to connect Lombardy with the Grisons area. This mountain pass, almost 2000 m above sea level, is reached by a good road, no longer used for goods transportation. It is very appreciated by bikers who can enjoy the fresh loneliness of the landscape just a couple of hours away from the crowded Milan area. Sometimes also "heroic" cyclists climb up there!
