Jardin des Alpes, Geneva
Geneva, Switzerland

The Jardin des Alpes is a public garden located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Until 1862, the area currently occupied by the garden was a natural port open to Lake Geneva, which explains its triangular shape. In 1873, Duke Charles II of Brunswick died in Geneva and bequeathed his fortune to the city, provided that a monument was built to him, which was done a few years later in the park.
