Kaohsiung City Museum of Hakka Culture

Situated inside Park No. 2 on Tongmeng Road in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City Museum of Hakka Culture is Taiwan’s largest Hakka museum with an area of 800 pings. Based on the idea of a Chinese Hakka-style building, the museum wais built in the style of a red-glass-tiled-roofed and three-sided courtyard. In addition to the display of the traditional Hakka cultural artifacts, the museum also provides guides, films, real authentic objects and models for detailed understanding. Hakka cultural activities are held from time to time with the purposes to explore the traditions and customs of Hakka culture. The museum also owns the first Hakka library in Taiwan, serving as a multifunctional cultural museum.
