The Polly Woodside tall ship pays tribute to the rich maritime history of Australia.  Polly Woodside was launched 1885 in Belfast, Ireland, named after the nickname of the wife of owner William Woodside.

In 1968 the National Trust of Australia purchased the ship for one cent and between 1972 and 1978 the ship was restored to its former glory.
