Rock Hill (-138'/-42m) summit
California

View from the top of Rock Hill (elev. -138') in the Imperial Valley near Calipatria, California.  The hill is located w/in Sunny Bono National Wildlife Refuge w/ a large view of the Salton Sea, which is at -232 feet below sea level, however the size of the lake has slowly been diminishing.  The true top of this hill is off limits but is one of the few nearby hills whose top is still significantly below sea level.  The Salton Sea lies on the San Andreas fault w/ numerous geothermal plants, mud volcanoes, & obsidian occurrences in the area.
