Taipei - Ximending Pedestrian Street -3-2013
Taipei

The name originated in Ximending administrative planning the Japanese occupation era, due to the geographic location just outside the west in Taipei, it said Ximending. Ximending originally just a remote area, development is not thriving, and later the Japanese government decided to imitate planning Tokyo's Asakusa district, where the seat set to Taipei, and eight-seat hall wing, so that Ximending in Taipei city gradually emerge.

1930 Ximending many cinemas, theaters everywhere, the film industry is still thriving after World War II. 1980s, commercial and entertainment activities of Taipei gradually shifted East, coupled with the removal of the Chinese mall road rectification, Ximending quiet for a while. Until the completion of the MRT Bannan Line, Zhonghua Road, Taipei City Government under the plan, suddenly became Taipei's "Champs Elysees" Not only that, the size of the square and event space mushroomed growth.

Every weekend, the crowd gathered in this engaging art, sports, music, performances and other activities, opportunities and the crowd was again back Ximending.
