Tween Decks Passengers
Bremerhaven

Tween decks passengers on a sail ship from Bremerhaven to New York, around 1854. The voyage  took many weeks under precarious conditions. Compare this to a 7h flight nowadays.

It forms an enclave in the state of Lower Saxony and is located at the mouth of the River Weser on its eastern bank, opposite the town of Nordenham.
