The superyacht cup 2011 in palma de mallorca

As the longest running superyacht regatta in Europe, the annual Superyacht Cup has drawn in over 200 sailing superyachts to this occasion since it began back in 1996, gathering the world's largest and most impressive privately owned superyachts to Palma every year to participate in the four day invitation only event.

To qualify as a ‘superyacht' boats must be over 24m in length. The Superyacht Cup uses a specially developed handicap system to allow yachts of very different designs and length to compete against each other.

Supported by local government and the tourism authorities, the regatta is designed to showcase the Balearic Islands as one of the best superyacht bases in the world.
