Tadeusz Kosciuszko mound in Racławice
Poland

On the hump of the hill Castle of Janowiczki monument was erected from the ground in the form of a pyramid with a height of 10 m to honor and commemorate the struggle for Polish independence. The idea mound born during the great demonstration of independence in the 100 anniversary of the death of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, which took place on 15 October 1917. And which was attended by approx. 100 thousand. citizens. During the demonstration known peasant activist in the Congress, Member of the pride of Russia in 1906. Work on the mound sypaniu started in summer 1926. They lasted until 1934.
