The waterfall of Arapitsa
Greece

Arapitsa is a river in Naousa, in the western part of Macedonia, in Greece.At this waterfall when the town was captured  by Mehmed Emin Ebu Lubut Pasha on April 1822. Thousands were slaughtered, others were captured to be sold as slaves. Women and children -following the example of Souli at Zaloggos- threw themselves into the waterfalls of the river Arapitsa
