Across the Sound to the east is Morvern; to the north is the Ardnamurchan peninsula, and beyond that The Cuillins on the Isle of Skye.Close by is the An Tobar and Mull Theatre at Druimfin. The road south leads to Salen and beyond there looms the only Munroe on the Isle of Mull, Ben More.
