A 100' aerial view overlooking Lookout, California in the Big Valley. Formerly known as Whitley's Ford, the name changed to Lookout after how local Native Americans used the nearby hills as lookout points. The town has a 2020 estimate population of 68. The town was also the location of the 1901 lynching that took place on the nearby Pit River Bridge.
