The room of flags from the inside. Here are the memorial plaques and the national flags of the prisoners killed in Mauthausen. The same applies to the national flags of the liberators. Mauthausen was the largest extermination camp in Austria, in the 2nd World War. Today Mauthausen is a memorial to the Holocaust. Mauthausen is located about 20 kilometers east of Linz in Upper Austria.
