Someshwar Temple. Bhangarh
India

The Someshwar Mandir. In Bhangarh, is a Temple of Lord Shiva, in His, Shiv Lingam form, a phallic representation of procreation.

Right opposite the main "Shiv Linga", is the seated bull, Nandi, the mount of Lord Shiva. If one waits around the temple for a while, many "Hindus"(mostly women), "wispher" their wish-prayer, in the ears of the seated Nandi. Well it's not taken seriously or is a prescribed ritual, but a cool thing to do, like flipping a coin in some Roman Fountain.

Everyone is Allowed to enter the temple, almost all Hindu temples are open to all, except some very specific ones, like Pasphupatinath in Katmandu, Nepal. Just take off your footwear! Don't go as if u came from a beach in Goa! Plenty of sunshine all through the year to get your "Tan" !

The Architecture of the temple is in the "Nagara" style. (Nagar-City/town)

The city of Bhangarh was founded in the late 16centure by Raja Bhagwant Das, the younger brother of the King of Amer/Jaipur. Later Bhangarh became the capital of Raja Madho Singhji. Bhangarh is refered to as the Ghost Town, n there are various "conspiracy theories" about, why the city was abandoned.

Curiously the ruins of various buildings and palaces, look like they have been "cut with a knife/sword" almost through the middle, The clear cut is quite striking, but pretty basic to explain, that most of the buildings were built using the same style and material, n the upper parts of the walls, we're made of lighter and less durable materials!
